About Giselle
Giselle was born in Brasilia, Brazil, and made Amsterdam her home. She is an embroidery and crochet artist, craftivist and feminist. In a world built on mass production, she chooses slowness, stitch by stitch, piece by piece. Making something by hand is resistance. It is political. It is love.
Her work revisits old traditions with an anarchic eye, embroidering protest for equality, upcycling forgotten pieces, teaching others that making with your hands is both radical and healing. Every colour and texture is chosen with care. Over the years, deciding which fabric, which size, which body to dress, which face to embroider quietly expanded her world, and her work grew warmer, bolder and more herself with every piece.
She now also offers visual styling, helping people find and wear who they truly are.
